Free Youth Ministry Newsletter

04.04.04 vol. 1 - no. 1 Networking youth pastors in sharing ideas, lessons and real life resources with each other. We believe the average youth pastor is above average and since the Bible encourages us to share with others we provide this for FREE!

The whole congregation of believers was united as one--one heart, one mind! No one said, "That's mine--you can't have it." They shared everything.

Acts 4:32 The Message
I want to say a special thank you to everyone who stayed on the list through all the inactivity of our site over the last few years. This time we are back and back to stay.

  8.   "Our Foundation"

Most people don't wear signs advertising their worldview. While some readily confess a certain faith, many more appear uncertain or apathetic. How can we recognize a person's worldview, if they can’t express it themselves?

Simple. Just like any home, a worldview has a foundation. This foundation is a person's answer to two basic questions:

What is the nature of man?

And, what is the nature of God?

The way a person answers these two questions provides the basis for what they believe about everything else. Discover a man's answers to these questions, and you discover the way in which he views the world.

Everyone has a worldview, because everyone makes certain assumptions about the nature of man and the nature of God.

  9. Time Management Tips
    by Don Wetmore of

There is a "lateness acceptability" factor in our lives that tells us that if we are late some of the time because of the weather, the traffic, or for personal reasons, then it's okay because everyone is late some of the time. And being late is a time waster.

But it just seems to me that if you are late some of the time, like everyone else, it makes you look average.

Get to where you need to be, on time, by leaving early. Take whatever is keeping you from leaving until the last possible moment with you and do it on the other end.

Leave early. Arrive on time. Stand out from the crowd.

Coca-Cola Company and Westfield Corporation Inc., are working together to create special spaces for teens at malls called Coca-Cola Red Lounges. The lounges feature custom-built furniture, a medial wall with plasma screens and glass-front vending machines featuring Coke products. The lounges will feature programming developed specifically for teens from FUSE, G4, Sony, ESPN Video Games, and Twentieth Century Fox. The goal is for these lounges to be experiential places for teens to hang out with friends and learn about new movies, music and games. Currently there are Coca-Cola Red Lounges at a mall in the Chicago area and the Los Angeles area.

    G.K. Chesterton

The elderly priest, speaking to the younger priest, said, "It was a good idea you had to replace the first four pews with plush bucket theater seats. It worked like a charm. The front of the church fills first". The young priest nodded, and the old priest continued, "And you told me a little more beat to the music would bring young people back to church, so I suppose the rock 'n roll gospel choir you brought in was another good idea. We are packed in to the balcony". Thank you, Father," answered the young priest. "I am pleased that you are open to the new ideas of youth."

"Well," said the elderly priest, "I'm afraid you've gone too far with the drive-thru confessional."

"But, Father," protested the young priest, "my confessions have nearly doubled since I began that!"

"I know, son," replied the elderly priest, "but the flashing neon sign, Toot n' Tell or Go To Hell" cannot stay on the church roof!"
Dr. H. A. Ironside, longtime pastor of Chicago's Moody Church, was told by a lady that she expected to get to heaven by faith plus her good works. "It's like rowing a boat," she explained. "It takes two oars to row a boat; otherwise you go around in a circle." Dr. Ironside replied, "That's a good illustration except for one thing: I'm not going to heaven in a rowboat!"

"If you think you are seeing the same show all over again seven times a week, you're crazy. Every morning you wake up to something that in all eternity never was before and never will be again. And the you that wakes up was never the same before and will never be the same again."

  17. Join the Revolution

  18.   This site began because three youth pastors believed that youth pastors should share resources with each other. We need contributors. When people are begging for your original resource and publishers are hunting you down to sign a contract, we will withdraw your contribution so you can sell it. Until then, please share and bless others.
